Are you worried nobody is seeing your content?

Look Reader, I know you didn’t start your business to become a content creator.

But if you want to stand out from your competitors and attract new clients, you can’t ignore content.

The good news?

Your content doesn’t have to be boring, or overwhelming to create.

I had a client, an architect who once told me:

"I didn’t get into architecture to make TikToks. But now, I feel like I have to just to get noticed."

He wasn’t wrong. Without good content, it’s hard to stand out.

But here’s the thing: it doesn’t need to take over your life.

When you think about creating content, does your mind jump to influencers posting all day, every day?

It’s easy to assume that standing out means churning out endless videos or becoming a full-time content creator.

But you don’t need to live online to create great content.

The best content doesn’t come from volume - it comes from clarity.

It’s about sharing a message that connects, not competing for likes.

Here are five content ideas that are simple, effective, and (most importantly) unboring:

  1. Mini Origin Story
Share the “why” behind what you do.
My architect client? He specializes in roofs because he grew up helping his dad repair them. People love stories; they make you memorable.
  2. Opposing Viewpoint
Challenge the status quo in your industry.
If most architects push slate roofs, but you’re all about metal roofs, lean into that difference. It makes people notice you.
  3. Common Mistake
Point out a mistake your audience might not realize they’re making. For the architect: “Not inspecting your roof yearly can cost you thousands in the long run.”
Show them what they’re missing, and how you can help.
  4. Pop Culture Reference
Add a fun, relatable twist to your content.
For example: “Remember that rooftop scene in The Matrix? Here’s why your roof should be as reliable as Trinity.”
It makes your audience smile, and connects on a human level.
  5. This or That
Compare two options and take a stand. Example: “Metal roofs vs. slate roofs - which is better? Here’s why I always recommend metal.”
When you take a clear position, the right clients will naturally gravitate toward you.

When my client tried these ideas, he stopped worrying about creating content and started having fun with it.

The result?

→ More calls.
→ More clients.
→ And he didn’t have to dance on TikTok once.

Every piece of content you create is an opportunity to tell your story, share your expertise, and connect with your audience.

And when you make those connections?

You stand out.

This week, try one of the five ideas above. Just one.

You might be surprised how much easier, and more effective your content can be.

99% of business owners I speak to are terrified to niche down. They think that if they get too specific, they'll miss out on sales. Miss out on opportunities. That nobody will see or interact with their content. I get it. It feels risky. But with social media getting more saturated and growth getting harder (especially on LinkedIn), being hyper-niche is actually an unfair advantage, not a concern. Let me explain. If you've ever been to the Carolinas, you've probably seen Cheerwine. It's a...

I just saw this video on social media trends for 2026. No surprise. The number one topic? AI. But here's what I found most interesting... People's resistance towards AI content. Which is ironic. Everybody wants to use AI to go faster. But then they turn around and complain about consuming content that was generated by AI. One of my favorite social media marketing experts, with over a million followers and a billion views, was breaking content into two buckets: AI and human. His advice? Go all...

In 2022, while working in sales for a national payroll company, something weird happened that changed my life forever.Even though I was relatively new to the company, I had built a really good reputation for myself. So good, in fact, that they tapped me on the shoulder to present to 300 people on how to use video in sales.I felt that I had earned the right to start applying for promotions. But I did 7 interviews. 7 final rounds. 7rejections. 😢 The last rejection hit the hardest because it was...
