I doubled my revenue and profits in 2024. 🥳 Because I'm such a generous guy, I'm sharing the four strategies I'm implementing to make more money this year. (If you prefer to watch this as a video on YouTube, click here). 1. Introducing the Let's Make a Video Podcast I’ve been itching to start a podcast. My journey as a content creator began as a podcaster back in 2015. I’ve tried and failed several times to get back to podcasting because I couldn't find the right angle I was excited about. Until now... I'm turning my Video On Easy Mode service into a podcast. Each episode will be a behind-the-scenes look at the strategy and filming, followed by the big reveal of the final video. This experiment may fail miserably, but I‘m committed to doing 50 episodes this year, and I feel good about it. 1. Guests will help me get in front of new audiences and showcase my talent for helping people create high-quality videos. 2. Drive more to my YouTube channel. (hint hint) 2. Email Hopefully, you can tell that I’ve been working hard to improve my newsletter, which is tough for me as a guy who prefers video to writing. I commit to doing 2 LinkedIn posts per week designed to get people to my list and run one email campaign monthly for one of my offers or workshops. 3- Live Workshops Last year, I ran my first paid workshop in September. I made $900, and I ended up signing two clients. 4- New Products Video on Easy Mode is kicking ass. It’s getting consistent quality leads. The clients are super happy with the results. The challenge is that I get a ton of interest in the service from people who don’t have the revenue levels to afford a premium service. I was there just two years ago... New in my businesses and eager to grow but completely bootstrapping it. These are the people that I want to help most! So, I created a lower-ticket version of the service that still delivers the Coach D experience. I’ve had tons of interest and filled all my spots for it. We’re also working on another product called Testimonials on Easy Mode, a variation of our service where we interview your clients and collect high-quality video testimonials. I’m currently working with a fractional sales guy, and I can see re-investing all of the revenue generated from this product to run ad campaigns for it. And the 3rd product is to create a self-paced digital course for video on easy mode. It’s a no-brainer at this point. All the content is there. It’s just a matter of packaging it up. This won’t be a huge focus, but any extra revenue it brings in is just a bonus. PS. Elevating founders with social video. I'll put your video on "easy mode" and drive revenue on LinkedIn and beyond.
Last week, I dropped a podcast with Robb Gilbear, a multi-six-figure business coach who's mentored over 400 entrepreneurs. The goal of my podcast isn't the podcast itself, but the clips that result from it. But let me tell you where I went wrong with Robb. I had just come across a great video framework, and I was set on using it. But the problem is that Robb is a super creative guy. And we ended up boxing in his creativity by trying to put him into this rigid framework. We kinda struggled...
Let’s get one thing straight: hooks are important. There’s no shortage of content these days. If your posts don’t grab attention immediately, people scroll right by. But here’s what I’ve been noticing… The hooks we’ve been taught to use? They’re not working anymore! You know the ones: “Here’s the secret to 10x your revenue on LinkedIn.” “Double your leads with one phrase?” “7 hacks to stop the scroll.” These are manufactured. Formulaic. Obvious. And honestly… people are kinda tired of them. I...
If you think the reason your LinkedIn videos aren't generating leads is because you don’t have enough followers… I’m about to blow your mind. I used to be in your shoes: Posting videos, getting the same meh results. Hoping that if I just said the right buzzword or came up with a better hook, I’d magically attract clients. And instead? I’d wake to a few hundred views and comments from the same 10 people over and over again. But after more posts than I care to admit, I stumbled on a few that...
